"To live fully for the nation and ready to die for the nation was the common thing between us."

These words were used by PujyaGandhiji to honour the born patriot Veer Vitthalbhai who died in 1933 in abroad. The people of Kheda district thought to set up a monument for him. At that time there were some instructions that Late Vitthalbhai' monument should be splendid enough to create other Vitthalbhai. There was also another ideology that a model girls' school should be established that can mould mother to generate various other Vitthalbhais. For that,a general meeting was held by the native of Kheda District in Charotar Education Society at Anand on 12th November,1933. They passed a resolution to set up a school with hostel in Nadiad. "Shreee Vitthal Smarak Samitee" was formed to collect fund and for other management in which Dadubhai Purshottam Desai was the Precidents, Darbar Shree Gopaldas Ambaidas Desai, Shree Gokaldas Dwarkadas Talati were the Vice Precidents, and Shree Fulchandbhai Bapuji Shah and Shree Bhikhabhai Kuberbhai Patel were the Secretaries. The committee from the representatives of India and abroad collected the funds of Rs. 75,000/- and the meet of donors established an organization with a specific constitution under the name of "Shree Vitthal Kanya Kelavni Mandal" on 18th November,1934.
